Our Organization

History

Cape Jourimain Nature Centre Inc. is a charitable, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving our understanding of the natural and human history of the Cape Jourimain area and communicating these stories to the public. The Centre strives to maintain as small an ecological footprint on our environment as possible and encourages our visitors to do the same in their own lives.

The planning and development of Cape Jourimain Nature Centre began in 1993, with the incorporation of the organization in 1997. The Centre opened its doors to the public in 2001.

Members

We are a membership based organization directed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our Annual General Meeting is held at the end of May or the beginning of June each year.

Volunteers are a cornerstone of our organization and we welcome your participation as member and/or volunteer
