Salicornia Boutique

Salicornia BoutiqueWelcome to the Salicornia Boutique, a showcase of unique crafts and artwork from the Maritimes, as well as books and souvenirs that highlight the special features of this region.

Our boutique, located in the Entry Pavilion, features New Brunswick artisans and artists along with ecotourism and nature-related products including books, clothing and children's toys. We emphasize gifts and souvenirs that are unique and of high quality. We are especially proud to feature the work of over 25 Maritime artisans in our Boutique. Their work ranges from pottery, to glass-bead jewelry, beach-glass jewelry, weaving and knitting, to paper arts and silk painting.

What's in a Name?

The name for our boutique comes from Salicornia europaea - the scientific name for a plant, locally known as Samphire or Goose Tongue. Like all Maritimers, Salicornia is of both the land and sea. It grows rooted in the soil but twice a day is flooded by the rising tide.

Featured artisans include
