On your way to Prince Edward Island? Let us welcome you at the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre, at the foot of the Confederation Bridge. Cape Jourimain Nature Centre showcases the undeveloped beauty of the coast and makes it accessible to visitors.

Exhibit HallUpon arrival your group will be welcomed by one of our friendly staff, with a complimentary glass of our signature lemonade or a cup of tea or coffee. From there they will be escorted to our Exhibit Hall, where they can use the interactive displays to learn about our natural and human heritage, or they may choose to spend time with one of our on-site nature guides.

The Exhibit Hall gives access to our four storey lookout tower, where they will be amazed by the best view of one of Canada’s top engineering achievements of the 20th Century, the Confederation Bridge.

Visiting the Lighthouse - CroppedA short walk from the Exhibit Hall guests can relax by the sea on a curving sandy beach. To their left is a stunning view of the Confederation Bridge from ground level as it soars overhead and spans the Northumberland Strait to Prince Edward Island. On their right, a 72 foot high heritage Lighthouse built in 1870 by the Dominion of Canada that they can visit – ancient and modern within view in one location.

Explorers and photographers will thrill at the beautiful vistas, distinct natural habitats, and the over 170 species of birds that visit Cape Jourimain. Kilometres of trails offer solitude and peaceful wandering. All this is offered at no charge by the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre. Donations are accepted as they are an important part of the revenue that allows us to continue our operations.

When they return from their wanderings guests can enjoy a meal or drink in our licensed restaurant overlooking the ocean, featuring reasonably priced healthy menus created from locally sourced and organic produce, or you can pre-arrange a group meal. They can find that perfect gift or souvenir, crafted by Maritime artisans, for sale in our boutique. Your Motor Coach staff will receive complimentary meals and have access to a quiet room with internet available.
