Observation Tower
The Cape Jourimain Nature Centre's Observation Tower is a four-story external structure that offers fantastic views of the 13 km long Confederation Bridge. On most days, the bridge can be seen in its entirety. Looking back toward the mainland from the top of the tower, visitors can appreciate the fact that the Centre is located on the outermost of a pair of islands.
The tower is also an excellent location to observe migrating sea birds including scoters, eiders, gannets and loons, and to watch the nesting activities of our resident Ospreys. Access through our Entry Pavilion requires payment of an admission fee.
An alternate lookout can be found at the east end of the parking lot. This facility is accessible free of charge.
