Meghan McCulloch
Meghan doesn't usually work with clay but just couldn't pass by the beautiful and plentiful supply of clay along the coast of Cape Jourimain. The area where she was working had an atmosphere reminiscent of being underwater, with broken light streaming through a dense canopy in an otherwise dark grove of softwood trees. She was inspired to sculpt a variety of fish and place them in amongst the trees, surprising the viewer by adding such an unexpected element to the environment along the path. With climate change and sea levels projected to rise, such surprises may become all too common.
