Peter Manchester
During the 2006 EcoArt Festival, Peter used driftwood and eelgrass to create a small herd of whimsical animal sculptures that were inspired by the woodland caribou that once roamed the woods of Cape Jourimain. The animals survived the year and in 2007 Peter rehabilitated them adding a new coat of shaggy eelgrass. Peter also created two new works in 2007, this time along a marine theme. A viewfinder provided the right perspective to appreciate a 2-dimensional sculpture of a fish, while rosehips, shells and other beach debris were used to make the head of a shark thrusting out of the bank.
